A fun (nearly) seamless jacket featuring a knotted hood, knotted i-cord buttons and i-cord loops. It is knit back and forth on a circular needle. The sleeves knit in the round.

The jacket is cleverly designed to grow with the lucky child it adorns. Wear it as a roomy 3/4 length overcoat this fall with a folded brim around the hood, and folded garter cuffs that look equally good folded or not. Then come spring, it will still fit as a more tailored cardigan - just unfold the cuffs and brim ;0)

Pattern includes thorough photo tutorial for frog closures.

3 months (6 months, 12 months, 18 months, 2/3 years, 4/5 years)

Yarn requirements:
4 (5, 6, 6, 8, 9) 50g balls of chunky weight yarn for the jacket (samples were knit using Classic Elite Countess yarn)

Small amounts of different coloured yarn in worsted weight or thinner for the frog closures - leftover self-striping sock yarn would work great! (samples used Knit Picks Palette yarn)

16 sts and 24 rows over 4 inches in stocking stitch using US8/5.0mm needles
